Dr. Marcus Kent is a pediatrician and pediatric emergency physician who joins Lakeland Hospital as their Senior Medical Advisor. As the face of this cutting-edge organization providing specialized pediatric urgent care, He is responsible for sharing the wealth of expertise of the Lakeland Regional Hospital’s Pediatrics staff with patients and families everywhere.
Dr. Kent received his undergraduate degree from the Sapienza University of Rome and his medical training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. After completing his pediatric residency at Hopkins, He moved to Washington, D.C. for a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Children’s National Medical Center. He continued on the faculty at the George Washington University School of Medicine working as an attending physician and assistant division chief in the Emergency Medicine and Trauma Center at Children’s National for 15 years, and during that time obtained a master’s degree in education from the George Washington University School of Education.
